Ms. Tiffany Garcia has been studying martial arts since the spring of 2006. It all started from an after-school karate demonstration that struck her deep. Together, their enthusiasm for martial arts brought their whole family into karate, and they’ve been invested ever since.
Ms. Garcia earned her 4th-degree Black Belt in 2018. But she’d begun her career as an instructor years before.
She loves to teach, helping kids make connections from karate to life, applying what they’ve learned in class to home, family, and school. “Black Belt confidence carries into the real world,” she says, “especially for younger students, who have to deal with self-esteem and bullying issues in school. I love teaching kids the skills and confidence to develop confidence and self-defense.”
She can also make kids laugh, no matter how stressed they get. It’s like a secret weapon.
Ms. Garcia says it’s wonderful to be near people who want to push themselves and do well in life. “That’s what Black Belt’s all about,” she says. “I like the challenge.”
