Corvus Clark’s journey in martial arts began in 2015 when they were 9 years old, inspired by a desire to learn self-defense and a love for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Since earning their first certified black belt in 2019, Clark has advanced to the rank of 2nd-degree black belt and is now a Certified Instructor at Ripple Effect Martial Arts.
Clark is passionate about teaching and enjoys building connections with students by relating to their interests. They’re especially proud of how martial arts has helped them grow their confidence, enabling them to communicate openly and even take on leadership roles, despite originally thinking they’d never be able to teach.
Beyond martial arts, Clark has a wide range of interests. They’re a creative artist, a science enthusiast with a love for paleontology and zoology, and an avid video gamer. They’re also skilled at baking, known for making excellent brownies. At home, they care for three dogs—Ren, Ahsoka, and Obi—as well as several fish and a bearded dragon named Bowser.
Currently pursuing an education degree, Clark is attending Front Range Community College and plans to transfer to CSU. They hope to combine their love of learning and teaching by working in education programs at a zoo or museum. Whether in the classroom or on the mat, Clark is dedicated to inspiring others and continuing to grow as both an instructor and a student.
