4th-Degree Master in Tang Soo Do
Master Bono is a 4th-Degree Master and has been training in Tang Soo Do for over 18 years. She started training after her daughter, Mara Jade—now a 3 rd-Degree Black Belt—started training when she was in kindergarten. Her son Strider is now a 2nd-Degree Black Belt. Master Bono has been teaching at Middleburg Martial Arts since 2008 and considers MMA her second family.
Master Bono has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Secondary Education. She has held the Regional role of Judging Coordinator and is currently the Treasurer of WTSDA Region 21. Master Bono plans and manages the annual Black belt Camp for the Region as well. Her involvement in the studio ranges from assisting with the Parents Club, planning clinics and tournaments, and participating in all other studio events. Martial Arts is a way of life for Master Bono and she credits her instructor and mentor, Master Jan Lappin, for instilling the love and passion of Martial Arts in her heart.
